  • R. Ragulan I b.lit received 1ST Prize at District level Oratorical Competition held By valartamil Yaakam, Vazhipattu District conference at Santhalinga Arts & Science college, Perur

2014-15

  • Districdt level oratorical Competition for college students conducted by tamil Development Department at Villupuram our student R.Ragulan II B.lit won 2nd Place and received cash amount if Rs. 7000 and certificate of appreciation.
  • Aachi Institute of management ( March 2015) . Cash amount of Rs. 1000 won by R.Ragulan III B.Lit of our college.
  • State level literacy competition -2015 by Thiruvalluvar Mandrum and Tamil Thaie Publication conducted various level of competition V.Bakkiyalakshmi & P.Kani mozhi Participated in poetry and handwriting competition.
  • R.Ragulan received certificate of appreciation for National level Mangement Meet held at ARM Collegy be of Engineering & Technlogy by P.G. Department of Management of studies.

2014-15

  • On behalf of World Population Day – 2016 , Government Primary Health Centre (PHC) Conducted Seminar On the topic “ Responibility Planning and attaining “. Our student from II lit , named V. Bakkiyalakshmi Participated and received certificate of appreciation.

2016-17

  • India Elakiya Peraravi Conducted Various Competition at Villupuram. V.Bakkiyalakshmi from III B.Lit won Ist prize in Oratorical competition and Poetry writing competition and also won 2nd Prize for Essay writing competition.
  • Follow to that one more student C. Meera III B.Lit won 2nd for Oratorical competiton.
  • State level literary competition for school & college -2016 conducted by Ramalinga Pannimandram Rememberance Held at Chennai.

Murugam Senthamil Kazhagam

The Maailam pommapuram’s 18th attinam kurumaha sanithanam along with his troop of poets had done a graceful regime . The Aathinam not only made his great troop of poets to do many discourses at the respected monastery and temples but also he himself had done many such discourses . These circumstances basically proved their contribution towards development of tamil language.

SRI SHIVAPRAGASAR SENTAMIZH UYARAIVU MAIYAM
  • The prime poet of bommapura aatheenam, who lived in 17th century who known popularly among people and poets as “ Karpanai kalanjiyam.”
  • He is the poet of pure soul, graceful knowledge and he is an expert in various fields such as philosophy , literature and grammar.
  • He has contributed 34 books towards the goddess of Tamil language .
  • As a part of our curriculum, sivapragasar’s works was taught to the students on which our department conducted examinations and award to the prize winners.
  • Our department conducted various Competitions like songs, poems, essay writing, elocution and winners were given prizes.
  • Below mentioned activities are also conducted by us,

    • Republishing the books
    • Organizing functions

POST GRADUATE TAMIL RESEARCH CENTRE

  • The postgraduate research department was established based on researches done in 2002-2003.
  • Through this departments the following academic programmes such as international seminars, national seminars, Tamil workshops, monthly and weekly seminars and other relevant programmes are conducted.
